For what is sure to be a night of intense post-hardcore music and sweat, Circa Survive is set to co-headline with Thrice at The Fillmore on Nov. 16.

Circa Survive is currently promoting their newest album “Amulet,” released under Hopeless Records on Sept. 22. The album features their single “Lustration,” a track that’s noticeably different from their earlier work, but not so much that it changes the band’s unique sound.

In addition to co-headlining with Thrice, the bands will be supported by CHON and Balance & Composure from San Diego and Doylestown, Pennsylvania, respectively.

Circa Survive formed back in 2004 after its members left other bands. They released their first EP on March 18, 2005, which included one of their first hits, “Act Appalled” through Equal Vision Records, and later appeared on their first LP, “Juturna,” the following month. Since then, the band has changed record labels a number of times, growing their sound and fan base along the way.

Thrice, formed in Irvine, California, in 1998, released their album “To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere” in May 2016, after a three-year hiatus.

As none of the bands are strangers to the stage, the concert is sure to be full of talent, especially with the pairings of west coast and east coast post-hardcore.
